Spuds are used for straightening a string of tools in the hole, also for loosening the sediment or cavings around a bit or other tools so that a fishing tool may be run. The cutting end of the tool is specially carbonized and hardened to withstand wear and shock. Lengths other than shown can be furnished. When ordering include description of lost tools, size of joints, also size of hole or size and weight of pipe or casing in which spud is to be run.
The
solid or round reamer
is used to enlarge holed and to straighten a crooked or flat hole. It may
also be used to drill by a string of tools. Solid or Round reamers are
made of the same high quality steel that bits are made from to give the
user maximum performance. When ordering please specify the size of hole,
and size pin that is desired.
Casing
Ripper
This
casing ripper is forged and machined from a solid piece of steel.
The slide block containing the ripping knife is actuated by the spring
friction. This friction is arranged with a trip to release the sliding
block and move it into contact with the casing at the desired point. All
cutting is done by jarring down. A solid slide with wickered contact
surfaces can be used to sound out casing at any depth to determine where
it is stuck.
