RAMPP elevators are used in setting strings of pipe. The elevator clamps around the pipe under the coupling. Heavy forged elevator links are an integral part of the elevator and cannot come out of the lugs. Normally the elevators are used in sets of two, with one elevator supporting the pipe in the hole while the other elevator is used to bring the next length in position. When ordering be sure to give the outside diameter of the pipe being used.
RAMPP light pattern elevators are made for lighter usage, such as water well drilling where the heavy string pipe is not used. They are manufactured the same as the regular pattern elevator, but much lighter.
The links are a part of the elevator and there is no danger of them slipping out. When ordering please specify the outside diameter of the pipe to be set.
